The next time you’re speaking with a group of young business people, ask them: How many of you want to be leaders? (Pause for effect) Then inquire: How many of you want to be teammates?

Wanting to be a leader of others is a desire that’s thousands of years old. In our increasingly connected world, however, big things are not achieved because someone said, “Make it so”. Today, it’s the ability to be a leader with others that differentiates you.

Which do you want to be more?  The leaders who prove they’re also effective teammates make the most meaningful impact.
