confidence, leadershipYour team is half way through the year. Does everyone believe they’ll win?

Confidence is a steroid (safe and legal) essential for team success. Too many leaders cross their fingers and hope the conditions will magically appear to elevate their team’s confidence. But they don’t have to wait.

Knowing the enemies of confidence provide a roadmap for us to counter and build what our team craves – and that which we must have in order to win:

1) Fear of failure
2) Fear of vulnerability
3) Fear of irrelevance

Half-time speeches and town halls rarely resolve these fears. Real and honest conversations between those with authority and those following are required. From these discussions we can then celebrate the steps and progress that provide evidence based optimism: the seed for confidence.

The second half of 2016 is yours.
