Craig, you are always so inspiring! Your words in Degrees of Strength, and these videos and emails I am sharing with my 5 office managers provide encouragement for not only ME to continue to try to improve myself, but challenges them as well. how I communicate these truths and insights to all the others I work with on a day to day basis is an ongoing work, even after 18 years within the same practice. The need to establish highly effective two way communication flow and align our collective priorities and goals for moving forward has to be the foundation that all other teamwork is built upon. Exclusion does not allow individuals to work collectively and stunts the growth potential within us all. PG
Patricia – your words resonate on many levels. Key is your emphasis on “how,” as in “…how I communicate…” That’s what’s so amazing about the Degrees of Strength technique – it transforms the “how.” Your enduring passion and determination accelerate greatness inspires, Patricia! Thanks, Craig
I really like and endorse the “Degrees of Strength” idea and book. And I use elements from it daily with my group. However, I found the video content to be slightly “ironic”. What I mean is that one of the 3 Mind Factors states that we “cannot avoid a don’t”. On this occasion Craig begins by telling us what “Degrees of Strength” is not. Given that my University training taught me always to state what something is rather than what it is not, and the fact that I tend to emphasise this to idea to my group, I’ll not be passing this particular message on. Net, I like the second half of the video message (great), but I would not have included the first part.
Thank you for your feedback, Peter. Your attention to the 3 Mind Factors is serving you well! Our attempt to use the “what it’s not” messaging in the beginning was designed to create the contrast necessary for awareness. And, your points are well received. All the best to you – Craig
