On a recent flight, I overheard a young lady quizzing her mother: Did people really smoke on airplanes? The mother shared her daughter’s wonder as they reflected on that which once was.
Someday in the future, things will be quite different about the culture within which you work. Someday, people will ask, “Were things truly like that?”
That is, of course, if you decide to act.
Ask your team: What dynamics exist within our culture today that we want generations in the future to consider a relic?
The past is in a hurry to be different than tomorrow, if you’re willing.
