great subject…timely reviews also speak volumes of the leaderships mindset…how important it is to express through actions as well as words, how much they value the employee by having a well thought out, forward focused, strength based review done ON TIME! Each employee remembers the day they were hired, and an annual review on that anniversary date should be something to look forward to as most employees desire to improve year by year, as well as to be recognized for the value they added to the business in the past year. And any raise, however small, is appreciated and well deserved if given for the increased degree of strength that has been demonstrated. As you stated, it reflects on the leadership as well, in their ability co-discover the best path forward for EACH employee.
