What did you believe was true at the beginning of the year – that you don’t believe is true now? When your team is quick with their answers, you know your continuous improvement efforts are working. (And you’ve still got a chance in today’s market.)
The facts look different than before. Perspectives (should) change. You’re better now.
Even more important: What do you currently believe that you want to disprove one year from now?
We may labor tirelessly to prove what we believe is true, and therefore make little progress. Reversing the exercise can change everything.
You always have to be in a continuous learning mode for if you are not you will be passed and may never catch up. If you work tirelessly at what we believe to be true, we get ever closer to the definition of insanity.
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Here’s to a great 2014!
Keep up the great work.
Thank you, Tom. The insanity comment is a good tie in – and reminder! Here comes a great ’14. All the best to you and your team –
Craig
