There is a humanistic ethic required for any group, community or society wishing to achieve its purpose or greater potential.
(Hint: Establishing shared objectives, co-locating, or increasing the frequency of meetings only promises an increase in the frequency of people running into one another.)
Consider:
- The achievement of any strategy or goal is a social process.
- Humanly connected organizations are not created by accomplishing sameness. (Sameness creates duplicity and shallowness.) Unification begins to occur by identifying what hearts have in common.
- Connections between people become even stronger when individuality and diversity are acknowledged, celebrated and leveraged.
- Therefore, the power of the group is correlated to the strength of the individual.
- The strength of an individual is fueled by their sense of autonomy and agency.
- Independence, equality, and justice are requisites for each group member, then, for the group to be extraordinary in its achievements.
Translation: Your true and greatest potential is only realized when others in your community accomplish theirs, too.
Our entire Verus Global team joins the world in celebrating humanity’s progress in achieving our greater potential.
P.S. We’ll go further in our next Activation Session. On July 2, at 11 a.m. ET, we’ll explore the hidden (unconscious) barriers that people unknowingly build between themselves and others. It’ll be fast paced, energizing and practical—I promise. Your free registration is here.
