Great subject, there is always Uncertainty in every team. Either from the Team Leaders are its members. I find the Recipe for Partnership works best dealing with Uncertainty. This also redirects the Team back to the path using the Communication spiral. The certainty that allows teams to consistently perform with excellence comes from the believe that we as a team can communicate openly. The security comes form the believe that we all have great degrees of strength and together we can do great things.
This was an excellent topic and one that definitely hits home with our Company as we go through the SPIN activities. Yes, we all have uncertainty but the key is to capitalize on our strenghts and never let go of our values. Planning for our SPIN has taken an enourmous amount of time and we will continue to see rapid change. Utilizing the 3 Conditions that Accelerate Change will be beneficial for us as we break away and become our own company as well as the tool, Degrees of Strength. We absolutely can and will do great things together!
Thanks for sharing your perspective, Chris. Your “can and will do” attitude is inspiring. Your reminder to stay true to our values is perfectly timed. Even when we are tempted to put them aside, treating people with respect and fairly makes a huge difference when it comes to building greater momentum and focus.
Tim, your comments cause me to consider the value of believing. You share how important what we believe is to what we do and the actions we take. Since we go toward our focus, your commitment to having the correct focus will help ensure Best Ever results.
GREAT message! The goal in business, as in life, should always be to move forward and/ or enable forward momentum. Honesty and truth at all cost holds the key. GREAT Lesdership in times like these may be best represented by simply acknowledging “I don’t know.” Nevertheless, because of the moral standard established “true north, ” moreover your moral compass, will illuminate the way forward.
John – Thank you for sharing your thoughts. True north certainly resonates for me, as well.
