Are our objectives for 2015 realistic?

Has a clear path from here to there been identified?

Did we finish 2014 with momentum?

Are the challenges in front of us recognizable?

Do we have enough resources?

Here’s the first big decision of 2015: Believing you can – or can’t – succeed. Once your team makes a choice, what follows are smaller details.

To answer the questions above and then decide what to believe about the future is to make a fatal mistake. The thinking is backwards. Achievers know this. What you believe will determine your ability to answer the questions you face.

Variables in business should never be confused with conditions for success. And the priority condition for success is believing.

Our new book, ONE Team, was written for people who want to create the conditions for high performing teams within minutes. (You can change your next meeting.) Learn more about the approach by watching this video.

It’s worth asking your team this week: Do you believe we can win in 2015? And what conditions (not variables) must we focus on to strengthen this belief?
